TUI has confirmed it is offering “round-the-clock” support to the family of Tyler Kerry, a 20-year-old British man from Essex, who tragically died during a family holiday in Turkey.
Tyler was found fatally injured in a lift shaft at the Trendy Lara resort hotel near Lara Beach in Antalya at around 7 am local time on Friday.
This trip was believed to be Tyler’s first family holiday abroad. He was accompanied by his grandmother Collette, grandfather Ray—whom he lived with—his brother, cousins, and his girlfriend Molly, forming a group of nine.
Circumstances Surrounding the Incident
According to ITV, Tyler had been out the previous evening watching a Manchester United match on TV. His body was discovered at the bottom of a lift shaft, and he was reportedly only wearing his underwear. His clothing and vape were found on different floors of the hotel.
His grandmother revealed that blood was found on his vape and in other areas of the hotel. Tyler’s great uncle Alex expressed the family’s distress over the incident, which remains under investigation.
