Finnair Cancels UK Flights in December Amid Pilot Strike Plans

Finnair has announced the cancellation of 300 flights scheduled between December 9 and 13 due to an anticipated strike by its pilots.

The majority of the cancellations currently confirmed are set for December 9, affecting a significant number of flights between Helsinki and UK destinations, including London and Manchester.

Travellers are also advised that flight disruptions may occur on the days immediately before and after the planned strike dates.

In addition to UK routes, long-haul flights connecting the United States with Helsinki and onward to the UK are expected to face cancellations.

Affected passengers are encouraged to check for updated information and the complete list of cancellations directly on the airline’s official channels.

Finnair has expressed regret for the disruption, stating, “We are sorry for the inconvenience and uncertainty this situation may cause.”

Travellers are advised to stay informed and explore rebooking or refund options if their plans are impacted.
