- The Askar 80ED is designed with three imaging accessories: a 0.7x reducer, a 0.85x reducer, and a 1.0x flattener. Users can choose the appropriate accessory based on their needs when capturing objects with the 80ED.
- The Askar 80ED 1.0x flattener features a triplet lens design, including one piece of ED glass, optimized for the APS-C frame. It weighs 0.42 kg.
- The back focus is a standard 55mm from the M48 threaded surface. The rear-end adapter has a built-in M48×0.75 2-inch filter thread, allowing direct filter attachment.
- It integrates a 360° camera rotator for convenient framing during imaging. The entire unit is CNC-machined and comes with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
- The 1.0x flattener does not change the native focal ratio—the Askar 80ED remains at f/7. The flattener corrects field curvature and coma, resulting in a flatter field and sharper, rounder stars at the edges.
