Fludrocortisone is a mineralocorticoid (steroid) medication used to treat hypoadrenocorticism (Addison’s disease) in small animals. This product is a tablet formulation. *Please note: This is a generic medication. - Used to treat hypoadrenocorticism (Addison’s disease) in dogs and cats.
- Corticosteroids should not be used concurrently with NSAIDs due to increased risk of gastrointestinal ulcers, perforation, and/or bleeding.
- Do not use this medication during pregnancy or in animals that have an active systemic fungal infection.
- May be prescribed for other animal species; please consult your veterinarian.
- While this drug does not have an FDA-approved indication for all animal uses, it is commonly accepted for veterinarians to prescribe this medication for use in animals.
