Järv RB9X was developed closely with our local trail-running community to create the perfect shoe for long-distance runs and challenging terrain. The midsole, made with 66% Susterra—a bio-based material derived from corn—provides generous cushioning and energy return without losing stability. The upper is crafted from a flexible yet highly durable material and fits like a glove while providing ample room for the toes. This is the shoe for the most experienced ultra runners, for the amateurs that start to hit the trails today, and anyone in between. Regardless of your personal goals, the launch of Järv RB9X achieves one of Icebug’s goals: to produce a running shoe with less than 50% virgin oil as raw material. As far as we know, this achievement currently has no competition in the industry.
