Kavango - FSC: Familienspiel

We are located in the largest transnational nature reserve on earth: the Kavango region in Africa. As nature protection experts, we want to attract animals to our reserve, fulfill research goals and invest in species and climate protection. It is important to observe the requirements of the animals and build an increasingly complex ecosystem: what starts slowly with grasses and insects soon attracts giraffes and elephants! Who keeps track of all the goals and ends up making the most points in their reserve? In each round, all players choose ten cards for their reserve. The selection of each individual card is done simultaneously and prevents long waiting times. With every decision, your own ecosystem continues to grow and become increasingly complex. It is important to create habitats only for smaller animals, which gradually meets the requirements for larger living beings. What starts slowly with grasses, trees, fish and insects later attracts giraffes, impalas and elephants. Not an easy task because: the animals have different requirements for food and protection and can only move from the collection station to the reserve if the necessary conditions are created. Even the research tasks are not easy to solve and at the same time funding is limited. The common climate protection must also not be ignored. Here it is important to keep track of all areas and make smart moves. Only those who use their resources far-sighted create a flourishing protected area and are adequately committed to the Kavango region. After the third round, the big evaluation follows: in the end, the settled animals, the research progress and the three environmental awards give valuable points. Whoever has collected the most points wins the game. Even in solo play, "Kavango" unfolds its strategic appeal and is ideal for anyone who wants to face the challenge alone.
