This Panduit CT-1550 controlled cycle crimping tool has a full-cycle ratchet mechanism and two color-coded crimp pockets for proper application of crimp force to wires and connectors in a range of sizes. It is suitable for use with conductors from American Wire Gauge (AWG) #22 to #10 (0.5 to 6 sq. mm) and matching terminals, splices, and disconnects that are insulated with nylon or vinyl. Its red/blue pocket is closer to the tool's pivot for a reduced crimp effort on connections from #22 to #14 AWG. This crimper has a steel frame with a black oxide finish for strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion, cushioned grips for operator comfort, and a manual release lever for opening the jaws of the tool before completing a full crimp cycle when necessary.
