Los Jazmines
The Hotel Los Jazmines is located on the Paseo Maritimo, the first line of the beach, with many of the rooms having a sea view (in the main building). The hotel is directly in front of what used to be the “gay beach” of torremolinos, but since a much more modern and considerably more inviting gay chiringuito has opened on Playa El Bandillo (Eden beach club), the beach in front of the Los Jazmines is now quiet, and a lot less gay.
The rooms are a little dated and the hotel doesn’t have any excellent facilities, but the price and location make this one of the best budget hotels that you will find in Torremolinos.
The walk into the centre of Torremolinos town takes about 20 minutes if done at a leisurely stroll, and if you’re feeling lazy, you can pay the 50 cents to take the lift up and avoid the stairs.
Its beachfront location should attract a much higher price tag, but the Los Jazmines generally can be found in the top ten cheapest hotels if you sort your Torremolinos hotel search into price order.
It gets excellent reviews on tripadvisor, and as such, the rooms do tend to sell out year round, so book early if possible!
Krystal
Location, Location Location, when it comes to The Hotel Krystal being the second best budget hotel in Torremolinos.
The hotel is literally in the very centre of Torremolinos, just a stone’s throw away from the train station.
Whilst being in the best location of Torremolinos, the rooms are lovely and quiet due it being tucked away down a little alley, meaning you can have a good night’s sleep.
It’s not recommended to book any board basis other than room only, there are so many cheap restaurants on your doorstep.
Rooms, as always in this price bracket, could be a little bigger and more tastefully finished, but let’s not be fussy unless the budget allows!
If you’re looking for a budget Torremolinos hotel and prefer to be in the centre of the action, rather than the beach, then the hotel Krystal is a great choice for you.
Guests at the Krystal hotel always comment on how friendly and helpful the staff are, especially for a cheap hotel.
La Palmera
The Hotel La Palmera is located less than a 5 minute walk to the Nogalera with its many gay bars. The beach is easily accessed with a minute walk.
It has a wonderful “home from home” feel and the hosts do everything that they can to ensure that you have a fantastic time during your Torremolinos stay. The rooms are spacious and kept immaculately clean!
The standard to price ratio for La Palmera makes this a strong contender for anyone looking for a cheap but good standard stay in the centre of Torremolinos.
Hostal Guillot
If you are looking for the cheapest of the cheap of the cheap, then consider a stay at Hostal Guillot Torremolinos.
This hotel is often the very cheapest option you will find for a Torremolinos holiday, but it isn’t a horrible experience if you decide to spend the night here.
There is nothing exceptional to say about the Hostel, as to be expected for this room rate, tt has simple rooms, that are clean enough to not complain and quiet enough to get some sleep.
Location wise Hostal Guillot is in the very center of the town and a 15 min walk or so to the beach.
If you’re happy to share a bathroom (they are clean and just outside your room), you can often pick up a rate of less than 30 euros a night.
The Guillot is often also the cheapest option for solo travellers.
Sol Timor Apartments
The Sol Timor Apartments are the only self catering unit to make the list, mainly because it is difficult to get self catering facilities within budget price bracket, so if you’re a budget traveller who likes a kitchenette facility, then Sol Timor is your best bet.
The rooms are not desirable, but they make up for for this with space and facilities.
Many of the apartments at Sol TImor have a lovely sea view.
They are located at the edge of Torremolinos, where the coast line meets Benalmadena.
Benalmadena Marina is just a 5 min walk from the apartments, go and venture in the evening to enjoy a cocktail and imagine one of the Yachts on the marina are yours to set sail in the morning!
