Thailand Locations Featured in “The White Lotus” Season 3

Season three of The White Lotus, now streaming, has taken the show to the stunning destination of Thailand. Known for its luxury settings and intricate storylines, this season promises to bring viewers closer to Thailand’s exotic beauty.

Much of the season was filmed on Koh Samui, the country’s second-largest island. The Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui served as the primary filming location, standing in for the fictional White Lotus Resort & Spa. Viewers will recognize its luxurious pool villas, restaurants, and scenic landscapes throughout the show.

Additional filming locations on Koh Samui include Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort’s Singing Bird Lounge, which doubles as the White Lotus bar, and Anantara Bophut Koh Samui for scenes involving the hotel’s lobby, jewelry store, and security station. The island’s stunning beaches, like Choeng Mon Beach, and cultural spots such as Wat Phu Khao Thong temple, also feature prominently.

The nearby island of Koh Phangan makes an appearance, including its famous Haad Rin Beach. Scenic spots like Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park are also highlighted, offering viewers a glimpse into some of Thailand’s best-loved tourist spots.

While the majority of the filming took place on Koh Samui, the show also visited Phuket, the country’s largest island. Key scenes were filmed at the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Resort, where Natasha Rothwell’s character, spa manager Belinda, returns for her storyline. Rosewood Phuket’s Ta Khai restaurant is the setting for many of the season’s dinner scenes. Other locations in Phuket that appear include Ya Nui Beach, Bangla Boxing, and Phuket Yacht Haven Marina.

The cultural heart of Thailand, Bangkok, also makes an appearance, with scenes filmed at the iconic Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

With these stunning backdrops, it’s no wonder that Thailand’s tourism is expected to see a boost, with numerous travel agencies already offering White Lotus-themed packages. The show has generated increased interest in the locations featured, and it’s clear that Thailand will continue to captivate tourists with its natural beauty and cultural appeal.
