The National Assembly in Vietnam has granted approval to extend tourist e-visas from 30 to 90 days, effective from 15th August 2023.
With the extended e-visa, UK passport holders will have the convenience of entering and exiting Vietnam an unlimited number of times within a 90-day period, eliminating the need for obtaining a new visa each time.
Also the Visa Exempt program, that allows UK passport holders entry without pre-applying for a visa, has been increased to 45 days, an increase from the previous duration of 15 days.
Presently, Vietnam issues e-visas to citizens of 80 countries through the Immigration Department’s electronic transaction system. This development in visa regulations is expected to further promote tourism and attract more visitors from the United Kingdom to explore the diverse offerings of Vietnam.
